Haha, well... I was thrift store shopping today, and somebody had donated a few 39 Clues books, this being one of them. I picked it up and debated on whether to buy it or not. During my debate with myself, I read through it. In, like, ten or fifteen minutes? There isn't a whole lot to read, most of it is stationary with letterheads from the different Cahill branches for "forging" letters from such-and-such-a-branch, and "check" pages for keeping track of which cards you've collected for the real-life scavenger hunt that took place when the series originally came out, as well as a bunch of code practice pages. The only thing I really found interesting was that they put together some little mini-bios for some of the characters, including pictures of them. So I finally got to see what Irina Spasky, Ian Kabra (his personality stinks, but his looks...okay, stop), Natalie Kabra, Arthur and Hope Cahill, Hamilton Holt, Reagan Holt, Alistair Oh, Bae Oh, and William McIntyre look like. (view spoiler)[Well, in the case of Irina...looked like. Still can't get over that. (hide spoiler)] Oh, and the ancestors of the individual branches as were painted on that mural Amy and Dan came across at the end of The Maze of Bones. All in all, it was an interesting companion book, but I ended up deciding not to buy it. $2.50 for a used book that I don't really need? Psh, I'm not paying that. The Black Book of Buried Secrets is a much more useful book to have at hand whilst reading The 39 Clues, and I opted to buy that instead.

I could say its too violent but really it has just enough. This is a wonderful and Educational Book series. Many libraries have these books and the cards in them can be reused on anybody's account.

This book is about two kids named i Jasmine and Jake find out that their family is looking for 39 clues and those 39 clues will lead to a hidden treasure. I think this book was an okay book for me because it is adventures and kind of scary when people get lost or something happens to them. It is very amazing how they describe the book as if you were in it. For me this book made me feel excited and curios what is going to happen next. I would recommend this book to people that like or love advent This book is about two kids named i Jasmine and Jake find out that their family is looking for 39 clues and those 39 clues will lead to a hidden treasure. A good guide to the books and a place to put any suspicions or thoughts as your reading. It also gives you little secrets if you learn how to break the codes. It also gives a guide to all of the possible cards in the back of the book if you participate online.

First of all, it doesn't even have all the cards from the first series to keep track of. Honestly the only thing I use it for is the biographies of the characters. Those are actually really interesting.

Not sure it was really that necessary to write this one. It mostly tells you a lot of things you already know but it's always cool to have a novella.

It was a very nice book, talking a lot about the series and character making it a wonderful experience reading it.
