Minnie and Moo: Wanted Dead or Alive is a perfect book for transitional readers probably in Kindergarten through third grade. this book is about two characters: Minnie and Moo who try to save a farm that is about to be in debt. Minnie and Moo are identified as bank robbers (which isn't true). This book keeps the reader on the edge of their seat because problems keep occurring. just like the other transitional book that I have reviewed here on GoodReads, I would assign this book for a book projec Minnie and Moo: Wanted Dead or Alive is a perfect book for transitional readers probably in Kindergarten through third grade. this book is about two characters: Minnie and Moo who try to save a farm that is about to be in debt. This book has more words and less pictures which is perfect for a transitional reader. The student should be able to read this on their own time, and alone for the most part. I would recommend this book to teachers who have a transitional reader in their classroom.

Minnie and Moo: Wanted Dead or Alive by Denys Cazet is another wild romp on the farm with our udderly favorite bovines. Everyone’s favorite crazy cows are back in another hilarious adventure for young readers. When Minnie and Moo ask the bank for money to help Mr. & Mrs. Farmer, they are mistaken for the vicious, bank-robbing Bazooka Sisters. Kids will giggle with delight as the two genuinely innocent bovines incite fear and create chaos in the bank and on the farm. Appropriate vocabulary, charming watercolor illustrations, and plenty of humor make Cazet’s Minnie and Moo books kid favorites.

Fantastic book for emerging readers that need to build endurance and confidence without encountering frustrating words. The plot is funny and keeps my emerging reader engaged. If you're working on building reading endurance, these are the books. If you're working on building vocabulary, you might find these books are not challenging enough.

Dax and I are rereading some of the books we read when he was little. We love these crazy cows. He still laughs at their antics, even though he's much older than the intended audience. I think they are funny too.
