Good thing we didn't have to wait to long and the follow up surely doesn't disappoint if anything I found it much more enjoyable than the first book. The beginning was a little slow and I though I was going to have to smack Dani around a little for going on about how her life has no purpose without Cayden, to her defense Cayden is pretty amazing so I wold miss him too, but she cleared up her act before I even got a really strong urge to want to strangle her. I have to say this girl matured. She made her own sacrifices, choices and dealt with her own consequences. It was amazing to see that transformation from the first book, where she wasn't the most rational character. Dani really surprised me here and I liked it. She really stepped it up and became a heroine we can admire. Cayden a.k.a the sweetest guy on the planet... was great as usual, well okay he was great for the mast part there were times where I wanted to kick him ( just a little) for making Dani upset but luckily his brother set him straight. Other than that Cayden was absolutely lovable and swoon worthy and just perfect. Like seriously where can I get my own Cayden? The plot picked up A LOT. While in the first book romance was our major focus and there really wasn't too much going on, this book was filled with action and twists and turns. It was great!!!! I never knew what to expect. The bad guys were actually bad and scary and there was also minor drama within the supporting characters and the plot was just very expertly developed. So overall this book is much more developed than the first and I really enjoyed it. OH! Also before I forget this book probably has the coolest take on vampires. ( Yep it's even cooler that Edwards disco ball skin :)

This book was exceptional! I love how this is a different take on a vampire story since now a days everyone is writing the same things. The characters in this story are so life like I can see myself being friends with almost everyone which I think is an important part to reading. I mean if you don't care about the characters why would you care about what happens to them. This book has a lot happening to the characters. It always surprises me how long these books are and in a good way! I am tired This book was exceptional! It always surprises me how long these books are and in a good way! I am tired of reading books that are only 150 pages long. Now the story itself sucks you in from the beginning, that prologue made me want to cry! Caeden and Danielle are one of my favorite characters. Their relationship is tested a lot in this book and the trials they faced were heart wrenching. There are some new characters that you will love and hate. You also get to see more of the old supporting ones that you loved in the first one. The story takes a lot of twists and turns with action, romance, suspense and of course family. The things that come to light in this book will blow your mind and make you love every second of it! My favorite part of this whole book though was the end its not exactly a cliff hanger but it gives you something big to look forward too! Plus you get more Lily! Who doesn't love that little girl?!

Even better than the first! Just kept wanting more and more as I read and just when you think it's over, it picks back up again. Twists and turns galore. Keeps you thinking trying to figure out the puzzle with Danielle and Cayden. Sad to have finished it in only a few days, but I can't wait for the next to come out. Love love loved it!!

I feel series committed at this point. I do like this, enough to give it a 4 star rating. I feel like there was more depth to the characters by the 2nd book in this series. I do like how her friend came back w/ a different personality and it was a very realistic way of handeling everything. I do like the evolution and admittance of kirby's feelings and again, I am impressed w/ the relationship between danielle and cayden, but there are still way to many parts where it became obnoxious. How many times can a couple reassure each other they love each other? It was just over kill. HOWEVER, this 2nd book in the series def. plays out better then the 1st. I love the introduction of parker and his brother jackson and the backstory of the great grandparents. With the plot thickening and more dynamics rather then make out scenes I feel series committed. I am interested enough to see this through and am anxious for the next book in the series. I am also hopeful that Danielle & Cayden grow strong enough in their feelings w/ each other that every single page isn't filled with them trying to convince the other that they love them more.
